Welcome to all the Parents and Caregivers of
Room 22
My name is Adam Harbott and I am really
excited to be able to teach your child this year. This is my second year
teaching after a year in a rural school.
Over the past few days, we have been developing our
treaty and routines for our classroom. We are learning about what is important
in our classroom, so we can all learn. By discussing our ideas, the children
and I have come up with rules and routines together that will enable us to
learn in a positive and caring environment.
Uniform: It was really awesome seeing the students come back to school
in their uniforms. Please make sure that
each uniform item is named so your child can take care of their belongings.
Don’t forget this term children need to wear their brimmed hat.
Swimming: Our swimming days are Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Please ensure your child brings their togs
and towel in a named plastic bag on these days.
Topic: Our topic this year is Treasure. We will be looking at all
meanings of this word and trying to understand that it doesn’t always have to
be something we can hold for it to be treasured.
Educational Trips: Learning outside of the classroom is very
important for our students. There will
be several trips this year, which will be very exciting! More information about
these events will be sent closer to the time.
Homework: For homework, the children
will have a reading book each night and maths basic facts to learn. It would be
great if you could support your child in these areas.
If you have any concerns regarding your child, or have
any questions or comments, please be in contact. I look forward to working
along side you and your child this year.
Kind regards
Adam Harbott
